Donna Lou Shickel is a nationally-known keynote entertainer and radio host. As a singer, song-writer, comedienne and retreat leader, Donna Lou is embraced by both secular and religious audiences alike, uniting and motivating her attendees with her compassionate, caring and upbeat performances. Donna Lou’s comedy is funny and clean, appropriate for any audience. Her programs are custom-tailored for each organization, and she has written and recorded theme songs for several major non-profit and charitable organizations. Donna Lou has five albums in distribution, having performed with ensembles of some of the most famed performers in the music business. Throughout the years of performing, Donna Lou has also raised over $200,000 for charities through her benefit concerts. She owns her own music publishing company where she has over 70 of her own original compositions assigned. Donna Lou is the founder of MusiCare Series, bringing concerts to residential care facilities since 1985 and served as parent coordinator of one of the region’s largest Young Life chapters. She has been named “Volunteer of the Year” of various civic, non-profit and veterans groups and recognized through the Virginia Governor’s “Award for Volunteering Excellence.” She has been a student of Precept Ministries Bible Studies for over ten years and is currently working toward licensure in the Church of the Brethren.
